Happy Feast Day of St. Therese! Today I want to share my poem about St. Therese. She is very special to me for many reasons. One is because I know that she prays for me and my family. Also, when my husband first presented me with a digital tablet for my birthday (many moons ago), my very first project that I painted on it was this portrait of St. Therese. I don’t know why I picked her to paint. I actually think that she picked me. Anyway, after painting Therese as the first saint to go on our Biblically Correct T-shirts, the others followed. Eventually I was inspired with poems about each saint that I painted, combining the first 20 into the original Cloud of Witnesses book.
Things back in the day weren’t like today, when one day you submit your book and then two days later the hardcopy shows up in your mailbox. Nope! Back then, we had to wait. Finally, the first box of books showed up on my doorstop – on October 1st. Thank you, St. Therese!!! From that day on, I’ve taken this young saint much more seriously, as I know she is a powerhouse of God’s grace. May our Little Flower, St. Therese of Lisieux, pray for us!
Now, enjoy her poem…
