Deacon Bob

Deacon Robert J. Seith, or “Deacon Bob” as we call him, is a husband, father, and grandpa. He was ordained in 2013 as a deacon for the Archdiocese of Washington. He served 5 years at St. Pius X in Bowie, MD where he assisted in the RCIA Program, St. Vincent DePaul Society and Baptism Preparation as well as in the administration of the Sacrament of Baptism. He is currently assigned to his home parish of Sacred Heart in Bowie, MD and assists in bringing Communion to the sick and elderly. Deacon Bob also leads Holy Hours for priests and assists where ever he is needed. He’s presented on the topics of prayer and the Blessed Mother to parishes and other diocese’s programs. Deacon Bob is the ADW Unbound East’s Team Leader. 

As a native of Maryland, Deacon Bob grew up in Bowie and LaPlata. He is a Secular Carmelite with Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Secular Carmelite Community in Port Tobacco, MD. Bob has worked as an actuary with the Watson/Towers/Willet Company for the past 30 years and looks forward to his eventual retirement so that he can be even more available to those he serves and loves.
