Our Lady of Grace
 
In the year 1830,
in the middle of the night,
Catherine Laboure was awakened,
by a child clothed in white.
 
He led her to the chapel
there a lady was seated.
By the Blessed Mother
Catherine was greeted.
 
“Come to the altar
where God will shed grace”
Mary told Catherine,
for the whole human race.
 
Mary appeared a second time,
to Catherine, 4 months later.
Rays flowing from her rings,
shining dim, and others greater.
 
Mary stood upon a ball
which represented earth,
surmounted by a cross,
Jesus’ passion, since His birth.
 
Surrounding Mary were the words,
(a universal plea)
“O, Mary conceived without sin
pray for us who have recourse to thee.”
 
Mary said, “Have a medal struck,
after the model you see here”.
Wearing it with confidence
you’ll have nothing to fear!
 
All that God’s children need,
is to ask and they’ll receive
graces great and small,
sufficient to believe.
