Helen Kowalska of Poland was born in 1905. She’d spread God’s message of mercy, to her people struggling to survive. God chose this humble servant of poor but pious parents. while they living in troubled time; their land threatened by tyrants. While Helen was at a party, she was 18 years old, Our Lord called her to holiness. Her life’s mission would soon unfold. “Go to the city of Warsaw, you will enter a convent there” Jesus told Helen Kowalska. their habit she’d one day wear. The Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy was the order to which she’d belong. There Helen would learn of forgiveness from Jesus, who had been wronged. Helen’s name was changed to Faustina as she professed her vows as a sister. She was instructed to write in her diary all that Jesus would whisper. Sister Faustina soon realized what Jesus wanted her to do; to tell the world of His mercy and follow Him who makes all things new. God wants us to love one another and forgive as He forgives us. Pray and always remember it is in Jesus whom we should trust! (C) Joni J.
